The National Agency for Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan – “BPOM”) has issued Regulation No. 27 of 2017 on the Registration of Processed Foods (“Regulation 27/2017”) in order to accommodate new developments within the food industry[1], as well as to update several provisions which were previously regulated under BPOM Regulation No. 12 of 2016  (“Regulation 12/2016”),[2] including provisions which pertain to the following areas:   Circulation licensing; Registration of imported processed foods; E-registration; and Priority service....
