Letter from Editor The holy month of Ramadan is finally upon us, along with its associated spike in consumption. Indeed, Bank Indonesia predicts that approximately IDR 6791 trillion will percolate through the economy during Ramadan and that the rapid rise in demand for basic commodities will in turn lead to an increase in the national inflation rate. Thus, intense monitoring by the government is seen as fundamental towards ensuring that this familiar hike in consumption is of benefit to the national economy, as opposed to hindering it and leading to shortages in the marketplace....
