Overview 2016 was a notable year in terms of the nation’s international dispute-resolution experience. Not long after Indonesia's first victory over Churchill Mining and Planet Mining at the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (“ICSID”),[1] the country alas tasted defeat once again at the hands of the globe's largest trade forum, namely the World Trade Organization (“WTO”). This loss related to the importation of horticultural products, animals and animal products in a case which had been brought against Indonesia by New Zealand and the United States of America (“USA”)....
